well, it went like this...

January 30, 2005

I've been inspired by Carol to keep a blog to entertain the family and help y'all keep up with where I've been and what I've been up to. Today, I drove up to Flagstaff with some of my fraternity brothers, because all the chapters in the state were gathering at NAU. It snowed like crazy on the way up, and even worse while we were there. We got to our meeting an hour late, stayed in it for about 45 minutes, and then told if we wanted to make it out today, we should leave immediately. So we got ready to leave, but not before Steve and Carol came out to help us out with some tire chains. Unfortunately, they didn't fit, and I felt bad that they came all the way out in the snow, but I was glad that I saw them, even for a few minutes. The snow let up and the plows were out, and we were perfectly fine on the way home. The traffic was backed up and at a stand-still a lot of the time, so we all got out of the car and so did kids from other cars, even the ones we didn't know, and we had snowball fights on the Interstate until the cars way ahead of us moved, then we'd all pile back in until we were standing still again. It was fun, but it took us 4 hours to get back to the valley. It was a very interesting, long, but really fun day. Here's a look out the window while we were driving:
